God’s FAVOR is for life. Nothing and None one could ever change His Love for us! #Blog

The Bible says that it rains on the just and the unjust. I get so irritated when people say that if something bad is happening in your life…you must not be following God’s plan for your life. You must be doing something wrong. (I call that Legalism 101.)

Guess what ? God’s favor is for life. You don’t have a bad day and it just rinses off in the shower. Bad things do indeed happen to good people. Sometimes it’s because of our own foolish choices, and sometimes it is because of the choices others have made that directly affect us.

I love the promises that we find throughout Scripture that remind us that God is there with us every step of the way…no matter if it’s raining bullets on our day or drenching us in sunshine. He is there. He sees. And he WILL deliver us.

Psalm 91:14-16 says, ““Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”

Happy Thursday Friends!

Today, Summit your plans to The All Knowing. He knows best. #Blog

When I look back over my life, I see there are a lot of things, decisions and goals I’ve set and achieved without having a heart to heart conversation with God about. Sadly, I paid the price but God didn’t punished me according to my wrongs. Surely, His blood, His grace and His mercy covered me. His love never runs out on me. He didn’t treat me according to my wrongs instead He embraced me with Grace. The truth is, as a Christ follower, we all should bathe our dreams and goals in the will of God. If Jesus himself prayed “not my will but your will Lord…” who am I not not to pray that same prayer? In reality, If Jesus it not Lord of All areas of my life them He is not Lord at all. He should be The Lord of all of our ins and outs, big and small. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”

There are no area of my life that the Lord shouldn’t be included in if I want to live a purpose driven and reckless life. He should be included in my dreams, passions, hope and aspirations. I’ve made a decision to never leave Him out of my plans. Ever since I started doing so, my prospective has changed and I started seeing light and his hands on every situation.

NOTE TO SELF – Planning is never wrong but to avoid living reckless life, never make any plans big or small without talking to God. Make God’s will top priority. Summit your plans to The All Knowing. He knows BEST. He know the future, we don’t. Don’t ever make another choice and plan without His approval.

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.”(Proverbs 16:9 NLT)

How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. (James 4:14 NLT)

So…again, what are you afraid of?

There are a lot of things in this world that are legitimate fear factors. Many reasons to be afraid as we watch the news and shake our heads, thinking, “What has this world come to?”

But really, the only thing as Believers that we should fear (in reverence) is the Lord…for we were fearfully and wonderfully made in his image. And through him we have all power in heaven and on earth.

So…again, what are you afraid of?

I love this promise found in Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

When the enemy comes knocking on your door (no matter who or what this enemy might be), stand tall and look him/her right in the face and proclaim the victory…not in an “I’m a complete lunatic who has no idea what’s going on here….just hoping this works out” kind of way. But in a way that is all-powerful and in complete control. Because you already won every victory you will ever face in this lifetime the moment Jesus took your place on the cross.

It is finished. The battle is OVER.

So, what are you tackling today? Which victory is coming your way? I have no doubt that it’s going to be great!

Happy Tuesday!

The season has a reason…Greater things are on the horizon!

20140515-062626.jpg

The great thing about life is that there is a season for everything:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-3, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up…”

So if today you are in a stage that makes you want to cry or pull your hair out…know that it is only for a season…and the season has a reason. Trust the process. Great things are on the horizon.

God can use the valley you are trudging through today to create in you something amazing and wonderful that will bring him glory, that will take you to a mountaintop experience that you could never before have imagined. And he can bless you along the way if you will allow him to do so. Don’t curse the journey, but use it as a time for enrichment, a time to grow closer to God.

And keep in mind that at the end of every day, no matter how wonderful or how tragic….it is over, never to be re-lived again. Make the most of right now, no matter how incredibly frustrating, for you will never get this day back.

I had a tough day yesterday and those were the words that The Lord has sent my way when it started digging for answers. These words got me through the day and night! I am forever encouraged by His promises. God’s words will never come back void.

Which reminds me, nothing last forever.
“Weeping my endure for a night but joy comes in the morning” It is only for a season.

Happy Thursday!

Join me on the ride of a lifetime. “Be Still”

20140509-073204.jpg

Wow! The Lord really wants me to be still this week. I can’t get enough of this verse.

Have you ever felt that still, small voice inside of you tell you to do something…and you let yourself (or someone else) talk you out of it? You walked in a completely different direction.

Or maybe a door was closed that you really, really wanted to walk through because it looked so wonderful….so you grabbed your crowbar and pried it back open, only to be filled with great disappointment later?

Sometimes we just have to be still and listen.
Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

In our society, it is very hard to be still at all. We are so overly-stimulated by various forms of medium that we can’t even wait in line for our double shot of espresso or at the grocery store without grabbing our cell phones to check email or play a game. Yes! We have to update our Instagram account or post another Facebook status update or we are going to be bored for the 10.5 seconds that it takes us to pay for our coffee or our groceries. Yep! That’s all me!

Heaven forbid!
This year I’m definitely working on being still more often…and listening. It’s a challenge to be sure. But if you would like to join me, I think God will take us to even greater places than we have been in the past as we seek His face with our whole heart… and listen to where he wants us to go and what he would have us to do.
Join me on the ride of a lifetime.

“Peace Be Still” – oh, how I love those 3 little Simple Words.

Are there some days where you feel like you aren’t doing enough? Your “to do” list is longer than the hours allotted.

I’m an excellent multi-tasker and time manager, but I think we all sometimes feel like even though we are helping one person, we wish we could help ten. Even when working inside or outside of the house, we feel that there is more to do. It’s a never ending process. No matter how much we do but we wish we could do more, spend more time with family and friends. I guilt we sometimes carry when we can’t be here or there for our love ones.

But God looks upon our hearts, and he sends us the exact help that we need at the exact moment we need it….not a second too soon.

Psalm 121:1-2, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills— from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

What a wonderful, comforting thing to know that when all hell is breaking loose around us, when life has completely exhausted us…we can lift up our eyes and cry out to God, our redeemer.
And he can breathe new life into our situation, calming our storm with just three simple words… “Peace be still.”

Got FAITH? God has it under control!!

2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith and not by sight.”

Have you ever noticed how some of the most powerful verses in the Bible are just short, direct and to the point? There can be an awesome sense of power in brevity. And if you don’t think so…go listen to a long, boring speech and let me know what you got out of it. ZZZZzzzzzzz!! A good nap, if you’re lucky.

Sometimes we see people that seem to be “getting away” with things while we are diligently striving to live a righteous life. We see people bending the rules to the point of breaking them, and breezing right through life as if they have not a care in the world.

But the Bible tells us this: Deuteronomy 32:35, “Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; their foot shall slip in due time; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things to come hasten upon them.”

Keep doing the right thing…even when it is no longer popular or fun. Keep trucking down the road of righteousness anyway. For if we continue to live out our faith in spite of all the calamity going on around us, we will be richly rewarded not only with eternal life, but with God’s greatest blessings along the way.

If we are so distracted by what is going on around us and so busy making lists of others’ offenses, then we will only cheat ourselves out of the peace and joy God has in store for us.

Today, have faith that God has it all under control. Focus on enjoying your own life, conquering your own demons and living a life that is filled with divine purpose. God will take care of the rest.
