God can turn a “no way” into a highway! We serve a POWERFUL GOD!!! [see Joshua 3] Be encouraged!

Today, I learned from reading the book of Joshua 3 [the Israelites cross the Jordan] that God is strong and POWERFUL and we are trust Him, follow and obey His commands! He is in charge! Nothing to big or too small for him. Thankful I served a POWERFUL GOD! This is simple but we often by past and don’t obey and follow. I am challenging myself today to obey & follow. Join me…“Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” And Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on before the people.” So they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people. The Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.”‭‭Joshua‬ ‭3:5-7‬ ‭ESV‬‬
See, It is easy for us to relate to the emotions and thoughts of Israel. So many of us face “personal Jordans” that feel so permanent and powerful that we don’t even try to make it across. Our lives feel stalled, stuck on the wrong side of God’s promises. We read about the abundant life, but can’t make it out of the wilderness. Churches can feel that way too, stalemated by the promise of something great with God, but blocked by all kinds of barriers.

But with God can turn a “no way” into a highway! The great question that loomed over the camp of Israel and over our lives today is, “Will we walk by sight or by faith? Do we really believe God can handle the impossible?” We serve a POWERFUL God!
Brothers and sisters, I long to see God do what only God can do! The church in Acts crossed over in impossible situations repeatedly because they took the simple steps that remain for us to this day. A Jordan stretches before us; the challenges are too much for us. We must believe that nothing is too difficult for God. We must focus our souls on Christ and follow Him. We must cast out all sin and set ourselves apart to Him. And we must be ready to move when He does His work, always being mindful that if anything is going to last, it’s from the Lord.

Sometimes what we see as a lost isn’t always a lost in the eyes of God. Can you trust Him?

This sweet lady shared with me at church this past weekend how heart broken she was when she found out that she had to let go of her beautiful home she owned for over 10yrs due to her husband’s recent job lost. They did everything they could to keep their home but in the end they lost it and had to move out. God opened a door for them to move 3 houses down in that same neighborhood temporarily with family so the children could finish the school year. She explained how it was a struggle for her to accept the lost, to let go and find peace within with losing her home and now living with family. The though of driving by the house everyday was heart wrenching but in the end they moved out to only to find out exactly 2 days after they moved out, the house was caught on fire by lighting around 1:30 in the morning. Most likely, everyone would have been home sleeping and who knows where they would have been right now if they didn’t move out In time. She cried out to God about that house. She was angry at God for moving out and now she is so thankful to God for saving her life and her family’s life! I know it’s hard to understand God’s way, how God operates but He is SOVEREIGN, He is Faithful, yes, He is in control and He has our best interest at heart but more importantly He loves us! I could go on and on to tell you about what I shared with her of my own lost…,the point is sometimes what we see as a lost isn’t always a lost in the eyes of God. See ” My thoughts are not your thoughts and My ways are not our ways” Said The Lord in Isaiah 55:8

He is simply trying to protect us and see how far would we trust Him. She has a new/ stronger faith in God and a new walk with God now. She is expecting GREATER and it’s coming! Learning to trust God isn’t easy but We just need to trust Him.
Can you trust HIM?“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

The secret of true worship is that we “worship in spirit and in truth. Is your heart in it? #TrueWorship

“The Master said: “These people make a big show of saying the right thing, but their hearts aren’t in it. Because they act like they’re worshiping me but don’t mean it, I’m going to step in and shock them awake, astonish them, stand them on their ears. The wise ones who had it all figured out will be exposed as fools. The smart people who thought they knew everything will turn out to know nothing.”Isaiah 29:13-14 MSG

It is possible to repeat words in worship to God without participating in their meaning.

Perhaps you have occasionally found yourself in church singing a hymn, singing every word clearly, even enjoying the song, only to realise that you were not taking note of the words but thinking of something else. This makes you feel rather foolish before God, because you have been singing in worship to him by wrote, without thinking about what you are singing. Imagine if you worshipped like that all the time! How vain that worship would be.

Words uttered by the mouth, however true, do not impress God if the speaker is not taking account of their meaning. Some religions have forms of words that are considered to have power in themselves. But true religion is taking account of what the word of God means, and believing it.
The secret of true worship is that we “worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Not only must the things we say and feel be true, but they must be the love of our spirits, our heart’s deep desire. Unfortunately many people worship from ulterior motives, and the desires of their hearts are far from God. Lip service? Self glory? Is your heart in it? — Flore󾬏
