Today, don’t you dare giving up no matter what things look like or how you feel! #NevaGiveUp #HaveFaith
You might be aware of my upcoming album release “Everything To Me” Saturday November 21, 2015 at Good Samaritan Located at 711 David Rd Lawrenceville, Georgia

While I am stoke about this and so grateful to God for this project, I can’t help to pause and share the following words. I know if you are an Artist or have a gift of any sort and worked on a project and you are passionate about your gift. You can definitely relate on how discouraging that journey can be. Yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel because God will never enpregnanted you with something He won’t and can’t help you birth. He ALWAYS make provisions. Not only He qualified who He calls but He equipped who He called.

Truth is, recording and releasing an album as an independent artist is hard work. It took me 5 years! I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I gave up, I had to scratch it and started over and over…. Time, energy, money……prayers…Even with great marketing tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media sites, most people still will look at your post and be like “uh…who cares? Why should I support you? Who are you again?” Or they will LIKE, SHARE your posts with no intention of ACTUALLY supporting you and purchasing anything. Can you blame them? They might have giving up on their own dream or call. Their journey isn’t your journey. Hah!🙄🤓 However, you MUST do whatever it is that you do and keep pushing through. Don’t give up! Don’t do it for LIKES. Do it because God commended you to do it and it is in you to do. Don’t let friends and family discourage you or stop you from believing in what God has commended you to do. It’s in you to do. It’s in your heart to do. God has instilled it in you not in them.

â€¨You may never be at peace until you surrender to what He has called you to do/be and until the call is fulfilled. The scripture reminds us that “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. —1 Peter 4:10
Whatever your gift is and whatever He called you to do/be, stay connected to THE SOURCE! The one who called you. FOCUS! Keep your eyes in the PRIZE, which is JESUS! The AUTHOR, The Finisher of our faith!— [Hebrews 12: 2]
The One & Only All good and Perfect come comes from! —[James 1:17] The Gift Giver!

The life of a Christian should be the gospel. This life is focused on who Jesus is, what Jesus did and what Jesus continues to do. Jesus is the hero and the ultimate centerpiece of the entire Bible. Jesus should be the hero and the centerpiece of our entire life.

The more I put my faith and trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, the more peace and respite that I experience. I am not trying to get God’s favor but rather am functioning out of the favor that He has already given me. The more I love Jesus and pursue Him with my whole undivided heart, my entire soul, every fiber of my strength and every area of my mind — the more His grace is visible to me and experienced by me.
When this simple fact is realized in our life, our exclusive focus becomes what Jesus has done for us instead of what we need to do for Him. This spills over to all realms of life. This most definitely ties in to the way we measure success and prosperity in our lives.

With the proliferation of social media, it is easy to get caught up in the success or stardom of someone else — all the while wallowing in the fact that you have not received as much attention as others. If this behavior is left unchecked, it becomes idolatry, aggressively pursued throughout the course of your life.

I believe that every single time we compare ourself to someone else and become disappointed with who we are, we are grieving the God who created us and the God who sustains us.

I believe that no matter how obscure or viral your service to the Lord is, faithfulness on the end of the believer is of chief importance. The cool thing with being involved in a relatively small operation is that you will get to see how good God is on your behalf. It is almost as if God has a special love for the under-dogs, the obscure, the irrelevant or the non-conformists. He will do a great work through those particular people just so that only He would get the glory. When all is said and done, the people watching will have no one to ascribe an accolade to but the Lord himself.

I love the way the Lord speaks to Paul in his second letter to the Corinthians. He says “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — (2 Cor.2:9)
It is my prayer that this post encouraged you as it did me. Continue to trust in Jesus and His work on your behalf for your good and His glory.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23‬ â€NIV

Lord, Today I pray that we aren’t so busy today that we miss out on your joy, on your peace, on your…faithfulness. We so often busy ourselves with the tasks of the day, running toward the goal, that we forget to enjoy the journey. And it is within the journey that you meet us, make us, mold us into better people…people capable of shining your light and love on others.

Today, God, may we honor you. May we share your love with those who are least deserving. May we make a difference in someone’s life. And may YOU receive all glory and honor. Amen!
