Today Lord I am going to do my best with Your help and for Your glory. I realize that there are many different people in the world with a variety of opinions and expectations. I will concentrate on being a God-pleaser and not a self-pleaser or man-pleaser. The rest I leave in Your hands lord. Grant me favor with You and with men and continue transforming me into the image of Your dear Son. Thank You Lord.

Happy Tuesday Friends!❤️ #NevaGiveUp
Our weakness is not always our enemy… Through our imperfections, and struggles is where Gods power is revealed. His strength is perfect in our weakness. We are saved by grace, through faith, NOT BY WORKS.. Hold your head up, fix your eyes on the One who gives strength to the weak.. And know, that in your weakness, HIS POWER IS BEING COMPLETED.. He is writing your story.. A story that will bring healing to others… And all the glory, honor, and praise will go back to Him and Him alone! Don’t give up!
Happy Martin Luther King Day!
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day has a larger dimension than honoring the role that Dr. King played in civil rights. This is a day to remind ourselves of how the God of the Bible hates injustice, loves mercy, and requires His people to uphold those traits. It was a Biblical conviction that empowered Dr. King to speak and act with humility in the face of the racial tensions of his day. This should be true for us today as well. While some are creating greater civic divides with inflammatory speeches, may the people of God create healing with humble actions. This is more than our opportunity—this is our mandate from God.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”– Micah 6:8 (NIV)

I’m so thankful for this new year. I’m thankful to see things happening like the peace march in Paris. God bless those who are standing up to senseless violence!
What are you planning on doing with this new year? A brand-new, clean slate upon which to write…
I don’t like resolutions really. I think we often set ourselves up for failure by placing unrealistic expectations on ourselves. I like overall goals with short-term outlets that lead toward where I’m going…knowing that along the way if I will allow God to guide me, I will have to take detours that I had not intended. These detours might be on the road less traveled, but they will be for your good…to bring you out to rich fulfillment.
I’m excited to see what God has in store for all of us this coming year. Oftentimes the tragedies turn out to be the biggest blessings we were never expecting. So here is to an amazing year with GOD at the center of it all…
As for for me and household, “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”- (Psalm 34:1 NIV)

Where and who is your hiding place?
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1(NLT)
We live in a sinful world, but where do you dwell? The “secret place” (Hebrew for shelter or hiding place) refers to the Holy of Holies in the Temple – the place God dwelt. A place only the High Priest could enter; however, the people could enter in their hearts. Your heart is the ONLY place no one can go…that is except God! Your heart holds your deepest most cherished desires, dreams and thoughts that maybe you have never shared with even your spouse or closest friend. But God knows the depth of your heart.
The secret place is a place of heart where we hide in a loving relationship with our Father. He is our shade in the heat of life, our refuge from the storm and our fortress in time of trouble. When we feel insecure, inadequate, stressed, sad, tired or lonely. When we are fearful, disappointed or disconnected where do we run and hide?
Why make God our dwelling? Take a look at the blessings of dwelling in God’s presence (Psalm 91:1-16): rest, refuge, rescued, protected, shielded, sheltered, fearless, untouchable and unconquerable to evil, reinforcement from angels, answered prayers, satisfied and longevity. God honors those who are His children and have a relationship with Him. Can you imagine God honoring us? That is exactly what He will do for those who make Him their dwelling place. In Psalm 91: 15, the Hebrew word for “honor” literally means “to make heavy”. Here’s what happens. We go to God with a heavy load of burdens, and we leave with a heavy load of blessings. That’s how God honors us. He doesn’t stop at delivering us from our difficulties. He goes on to make us heavy with blessings.
“Father, help us to find our dwelling place in you and be protected and blessed!”
Happy Friday Friends💕⚓️
Hang in there!!!
Life is a journey. Everyone has the amazing proverbial mountaintop experience…that moment you want to bottle up and savor forever, as a reminder of how fantastic a life filled with favor can be. (BTW, his favor is for life. Good days or bad…the favor remains. Favor is not based upon emotion; it is based upon the never-failing mercies of Almighty God.)
Then there are the valleys. Most of us would rather avoid the valleys all together. They are uncomfortable. They can be filled with tragedy. Sometimes there seems to be no end in sight…the light at the end of the tunnel is a train coming to run you down.
But today I’m telling you that you can learn more in the valley than on the mountaintop. Don’t wait until the battle is won to celebrate how good God is. He doesn’t leave you in the middle of your problem. Don’t forget to reach out in the dark of the midnight, as life is crashing down around you. He is there when the pain is suffocating every ray of sunshine. He is not punishing you. He is simply waiting for you to reach out in the darkness and invite him in.
No matter what part of the journey you are walking through…enjoy the day. Not all days are spectacular. You only need to be 5 minutes old to realize that someone slapping you on the butt to make you cry isn’t your favorite activity. But that slap cleans out the phlegm in your lungs and allows you to breathe…a life-saving effort.
Sometimes in life we just need to sit down and take a deep breath. “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14
