Psalm 138:8 says, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.”

I love this verse because the holidays are a great time to celebrate…but the reality is that many people are very down this time of year. Depression sets in as we remember people that we have lost, things that we have lost, personal failures…and begin to drown in a sea of self-created sorrow.

Sadness is a part of life, but it doesn’t have to consume us. Whatever it is that is concerning you today, David put it best…”The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” He already knows what the issue is, you just have to be willing to give it to him. Don’t hold onto the scraps. Give it to him and flush the whole stinking mess down the disposal. Be done with it.

Truly, life is too short to hang on to painful memories. You cannot enjoy the beautiful blessings God is sending your way if you’re busy beating yourself up over what you didn’t accomplish yesterday. Move on to a better day. Jesus died on the cross to give you life more abundantly, not to just watch you scrape by in agony. You were created to be MORE than a conqueror. Now get to it.❤️
