Lift your head and know that you are deeply loved. #Blog #Devotional

Psalm 27:6, “And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.”

I love the Psalms! They always have the right answer. Psalm 27 is packed with great confirmations of God’s love for us.

Do you have someone (or even a group of someones) that looks down on you, that causes you unnecessary grief? Guess what?! We all have those people in our lives!

Lift your head and know that you are deeply loved. Move forward and go for the gold! God has designed you for greatness. Don’t stop what you’re doing because of someone else’s bad attitude.

When you’re walking with the King, no matter how stony the path…you will always have reason to hold your head up with confidence, knowing that with Him all things are possible and success is the only Avenue you can take. His favor is for life!

It may be a longer road than you anticipated, but don’t give up. And don’t get sidetracked. Great things are just ahead!

I AM PRICELESS!!!

When God looks over the balconies of Heaven and sees you and me, crippled by sin, broken in the fall of man and hopelessly lost, He looks at us through the eyes of love and says, “I want that one! The one that was crippled by the surgeons of sin, left without any hope for tomorrow.

I’ll take that one…the one that’s been cast off and thrown aside, whose dreams have been crushed by a bitter divorce, a business failure, the death of a spouse, by sickness and disease.

I’ll take the one with a broken heart, the one covered by shame and disgrace. I’ll take the one that has been rejected, the one who thinks his/her life is over. I’ll pay the price. I’ll stand in their place.

I’ll make their lives new. I’ll give them fresh hope, joy unspeakable and the peace that surpasses all understanding. I’ll give them blessings they cannot contain and favor without limit.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8

“Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you.” Isaiah 43:4-5

The point is, God sees YOU through the eyes of love. He’s looking at your potential, not your past! He looks at you and sees a priceless treasure!

Thank you Jesus for wanting me for I have Sinned. Jesus I ask you to forgive me of all my sins and come into my heart. I know you died for me and you rose from the dead to save a sinner like me. Thank You Lord Jesus. Amen!

“For everything there is a season….”Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 #Blog

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;”- Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 ESV

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” – Genesis 8:22

Every life has seasons, both good and bad. There are the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

Every choice we make has a consequence. We may choose to have cheesecake for dessert and the consequence is that we can’t fit into our pants any more. But sometimes the consequences are a much heavier cross to bear. The price tag is exorbitant.

Guess what?! We ALL make mistakes. We ALL fall short. Everyone has those moments they would like to do over, and yet it’s too late.

Forgiveness is a huge subject and certainly one in which the Bible is not silent. In the Bible we can read about our amazing and loving Heavenly Father who forgives us of all trespasses. God calls sinners to seek Him and promises them forgiveness. It is because of His great mercy and grace that God rescues the believer from the dominion of darkness that began way back in the Garden. Jesus extends a loving invitation for forgiveness of sins which is only possible through His shed blood. He gave His life so that we may live. We are forgiven because He was forsaken – That is amazing love!

Let this season in your life be a season of forgiveness. Forgive those who have hurt you, wounded you, scarred you so much that some days you don’t even recognize yourself.

But most importantly…forgive yourself!

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.(attitude: loving and forgiving just like God forgave you).”

It’s time to stop looking back. Time to stop focusing on tragedy and mistakes. It’s time for a season of healing! It’s time to move forward!
