PEACE ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’• #Blog

John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

In this crazy, chaotic world that we rush around in, isn’t it nice to have that moment of total peace? The moment when your kids are tucked in bed and the house is completely silent? Or the moment when you have completed a large task and can sit down and rest?

Today, if you feel like chaos is being thrown at you from every possible direction….take a deep breath and remember, there is light at the end of the tunnel. God’s grace is sufficient. And his peace is readily available. Drink it in.

Today, may your life be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding. May you let go of those things you cannot control and press forward toward the mark of YOUR high calling. Run the race, but don’t borrow someone else’s trouble along the way.

Happy Monday!

Your God reigns! #Blog

Isaiah 52:7, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, โ€œYour God reigns!'”

It only takes a moment to look around and realize how awesome and majestic God truly is. Today, thank him for the amazing things he has done in your life. Thank him for the good, the bad and the ugly.

No matter where your journey has taken you, he has been there every step of the way. And he will continue to lead, guiding you towards your divine destiny…if you will only allow him to do so.

Today, Lord, we give you thanks for your many blessings. Even on days when we are at our ultimate low, our cup is truly full because of the blessings you rain down on us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Lord, for loving us in spite of ourselves!

Happy Tuesday Friends!

When we are at our weakest point is when He does His very best work. Call upon His Name! #Blog

I was reminded today of this verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9,”And He said to me, โ€œMy grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness…โ€
With each passing year, I hear from more and more friends, relative and acquaintances that they are coming down with bizarre and completely unexpected illnesses…just out of the blue. Maybe this has happened in your life, or to your family as well.
Truly in these situations people oftentimes have no idea what to say, so they blurt out the first plausible thing that comes to them. “Stay strong.” “You’ll be fine.” “This too shall pass.”

From experience, I can tell you that when you are in the driver’s seat with a horrible disease, none of these things are comforting. Just tell someone you will be praying for them. That’s all you really need to say. And that’s the very best thing you could possibly do. Nobody is expecting you to be Shakespeare.

If you have reached a point in your life where you feel like you’re about to crack in half, like the next feather to hit your eyelash will make you shatter into a thousand tiny pieces…know that that is absolutely OK.
Sometimes it takes us getting to the very end of our human limitations to push us to a place where we completely surrender to God. I wish we weren’t so stubborn, but I’m certainly guilty of this on occasion myself. I want to do everything for myself. This way I don’t bother anyone else, and I know the job will get done to my satisfaction.

But God says to call upon him, to seek him with our whole hearts…to allow him to be our burden bearer. And we do the exact opposite. We carry tremendous loads we were never intended to carry.

So, if you are in a place right now where the load is heavy and the outlook is bleak from a human perspective….call upon his name. When we are at our weakest point is when he does his very best work.

Happy Friday Friends!

Patiently waiting – #Blog

Are you in need of an answer? Seek God. Wait. Listen….and then take a stand.

Psalm 62:1-2 says, “Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.”

Is there anything more difficult than PATIENTLY awaiting an answer? Or just patiently….anything? Not for me anyway. I’m not the world’s greatest “waiter.”

I’m fine if I know what’s coming ahead. The known is always easier than the unknown. If I know that I’m dealing with cancer, I can wait for the treatment…knowing we are on the path to wellness. We have orchestrated a plan and are moving in a positive direction. Resolution is at hand.

But what if I don’t know? What if I have a life and death situation that I need help with and I just don’t know the answer? Psalm 62 tells us to wait silently on God and he will send our salvation.

That means that whatever we are in need of (not in WANT of, but in NEED of)….he will send it.

If we ask God to send the answer, He is faithful to do that very thing. Seek him with your whole heart. And then wait silently as he works in you and through you to bring you to a place of rich fulfillment.

Don’t be deterred. Don’t be moved. Just wait. The answer will come in due season, and not one moment before.

I believe it!

Patiently waiting…

Hope thou in God. God is ABLE! #Blog

Psalm 42:11, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him,
the help of my countenance and my God.”

What do you do when tragedy strikes?
Hope thou in God.

What do you do when you don’t know where to turn?
Hope thou in God.

What do you do when the dearest people on earth disappoint you, break your heart?
Hope thou in God.

What do you do when you are broken, battered and bruised by the things of this life?
Hope thou in God.

There are days when it’s just you and God, the friend who sticks closer than any brother. And that’s OK. He promises to hear us when we cry out to him. And (unlike any of your other friends), he can and will make a difference when you are up against a mountain of impossibility.

There is no tragedy you are facing today that God didn’t see coming. There is no problem you have that God can’t solve. There is no abyss so deep that God cannot reach down and pull you out.

Begin to praise him today and turn your tragedy into triumph, your challenge into change for the better.

Our God is able!

Happy Wednesday Friends!

Happy Tuesday! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’• Start your day with #Prayer #Blog

Heavenly Father,

We come before you at the beginning of a new day. We give you this day, this week, this month, this year. May you use it for your glory.

Fill us with your Spirit, with kindness and love for one another. May your peace saturate our lives. May your mercy rain down upon us. And may your love live in our hearts each day.

Cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Give us a new vision. Give us a new sense of accomplishment. Make a way where there seems to be no way.

Let your grace abound. May your spirit refresh, restore and renew our souls. May doors be opened to us as the blessings of heaven become ours in a very real way. And may we thank you for all that you have done, for your goodness to us is far beyond our deserving.

We love you and thank you. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

“Some days you get the bear. And some days the bear gets you.” #Blog

Have you ever taken a short cut, only to realize that it wasn’t really the best option after all? We thought we were really getting ahead, saving time, multi-tasking to the max…when all we were really doing was cheating ourselves.

1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

Sometimes we do get weary in well doing. We ALL do. It doesn’t matter if your neighbor looks like he never breaks a sweat. We all have difficult days. No one escapes them. But we have this promise:

Galatians 6:9, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. ”

Stay the course. Don’t give up. When giving up looks good (and there are times in everyone’s life that it does), take a break, get back up and hit it harder than ever.

The things in this life that are most worthwhile are the most difficult to obtain. The road of life that we travel is filled with challenge, tragedy, heartbreak….and ultimately triumph, if we faint not.

I have head this saying once: “Some days you get the bear. And some days the bear gets you.”

If today is the bear’s day, don’t admit defeat. Tomorrow WILL be better. The challenges we face can improve us or crush us…and the choice is ours alone.

Which will you choose today?

Happy Monday Friends,
