Good or bad, nothing lasts forever. #Blog

Are you walking through a painful valley right now? One where maybe you feel lost and alone with no clear answer in sight? I have this promise for you today:

Psalm 30:5, “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning. Good or bad, nothing lasts forever. Thank God for that!

If you are walking through a painful season in your life right now, know that it will not last. If you will allow God to work in you and through you, you can use this as a time of personal growth. You can become completely refreshed by the Holy Spirit as you begin to allow God to lead you and guide you down the pathway toward something truly amazing, orchestrated by God Almighty.

Life can be excruciating, exhausting, painful. But isn’t it wonderful to know that his favor is for life? No matter how alone we feel, He is just a prayer away! We are never forgotten, never truly alone. If we can begin to barely grasp the depth of his true love for us…we are indeed wealthy beyond measure.

So, if today you feel like you are walking a lonely, treacherous, painful path, know that if you will give it to God, he will truly make a way where there seems to be no way. It might not come before 5:00 p.m. today, but he will make a way for you that is so extraordinary…when the light bulb comes on and his light shines over the answer he has for you…you will know without a doubt that he was there all along; no one else could have possibly provided you with an answer so filled with complete perfection!

Yay! Happy Friday!

This promise tells us that he delivers us out of how many afflictions? ALL of them!! YES!! ALL!! #Blog

Are you having a tough time with life right now? Maybe you feel like you’re giving it your all and yet it’s still not enough. Perhaps devastating tragedy has struck in your life and your heart is completely broken.

I have this promise for you today:

Psalm 34:17-19, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

If you will cry out to him, he is as close as the mention of his name. There will never come a time when God does not hear the cries of his children. So, what are you waiting for?

This promise tells us that he delivers us out of how many afflictions? Out of all of them! ALL of them!!

And what does it say before that? MANY are the afflictions of the righteous. We talked before about how many people will tell you that the Christian life is problem-free. If you’re living for the Lord, then everything is smooth sailing. People who spew this brand of foolishness should come with a warning sign.

Nothing could be further from the truth. But this is how God is able to use us. When we walk through a valley ourselves…it gives us the opportunity to reach back and pick someone up who has fallen behind us along the same pathway in life. It gives us the chance to share the love of God with someone who probably really needs a shower of love, joy and peace.

This week I challenge you to help someone along life’s pathway….even if it’s a complete stranger. When we are focused on helping others we are no longer feeling sorry for ourselves. And a burden shared is lighter indeed.

Happy Thursday Friends!

Don’t worry! He cares about you and me..Cast all your care to Him…#Blog

Matthew 6 gives us the Lord’s Prayer, and it also gives us this…
Matthew 6:25-27, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”

There are so many things in this life that can make us anxious. Many are very legitimate reasons for concern. I love that this verse says, “Which of you can add a cubit to his stature [by worrying]?” Well, if worrying made you taller, I certainly wouldn’t be 5’3″. That’s a fact!

I have learned in life that many of the things I was deeply concerned about never came to fruition. What about this? And what if that? Just never happened. Worry and anxiety are always something I strive to overcome…and some days I actually win the battle.

What a great reminder for all of us!
1 Peter 5:7, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
Don’t worry! If he is watching over the birds of the field today…he is certainly watching over you! Today let’s put aside worry and anxiety and enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Happy Wednesday Friends!

You are our (all too often) unsung heroes! We Salute and Honor you! #Blog #HappyMemorialDay

Romans 13: 7, “Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.”

Render honor to whom honor is due.

Veterans we celebrate you this weekend. We honor you. We thank you for your ultimate sacrifices. Some gave their lives. Some have spent months and years away from their families who bravely stood by and carried on without them so that we could live in America…land of the free and home of the (very) brave.

It cannot be said enough…freedom is anything but free.

God bless you veterans. And God bless those on active duty. May we never take your supreme sacrifice for granted. May you be richly blessed for all that you do to protect us from enemies both foreign and domestic. You are our (all too often) unsung heroes.

Thank you will never be enough for our men and women in uniform, past and present. Thank you for your unselfish sacrifices! Thank you to the families that support you and carry on in your absence. There are too many reasons to say thank you, but blessings to you today and always! America is not great because of her politicians. We are great because of our soldiers!
We celebrate you today and EVERY day! May God bless you and your families! And may God bless America!

But God sees it all. And he looks on our heart. #Blog

I have said many times that I love the Psalms. I’m a big fan of David’s. We have a lot in common. Not that I’m a giant slayer (not in the physical sense anyway), but I have made my own share of mistakes and been granted mercy on many occasions…for which I am tremendously grateful.

This is one of my favorite verses from David after he had once again been in a bad spot:

Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

I tell my girls all the time, specially Heidi (6yo) “Don’t worry about what others are doing around you. You are only responsible for your own words and your own actions.” It’s a hard lesson to comprehend as a child…and really not much easier as an adult when you feel like someone is really getting away with it; living the dream without really “earning” it. Watching people “cheat” their way to the top is never fun.

But God sees it all. And he looks on our heart.

So today, I ask God to give me a clean heart…a clean slate to start over once again. And let’s do this. Great things are ahead for each of us, but we can’t move forward until we clean out the clutter!

Happy Friday Friends!

God’s FAVOR is for life. Nothing and None one could ever change His Love for us! #Blog

The Bible says that it rains on the just and the unjust. I get so irritated when people say that if something bad is happening in your life…you must not be following God’s plan for your life. You must be doing something wrong. (I call that Legalism 101.)

Guess what ? God’s favor is for life. You don’t have a bad day and it just rinses off in the shower. Bad things do indeed happen to good people. Sometimes it’s because of our own foolish choices, and sometimes it is because of the choices others have made that directly affect us.

I love the promises that we find throughout Scripture that remind us that God is there with us every step of the way…no matter if it’s raining bullets on our day or drenching us in sunshine. He is there. He sees. And he WILL deliver us.

Psalm 91:14-16 says, ““Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”

Happy Thursday Friends!

Today, Summit your plans to The All Knowing. He knows best. #Blog

When I look back over my life, I see there are a lot of things, decisions and goals I’ve set and achieved without having a heart to heart conversation with God about. Sadly, I paid the price but God didn’t punished me according to my wrongs. Surely, His blood, His grace and His mercy covered me. His love never runs out on me. He didn’t treat me according to my wrongs instead He embraced me with Grace. The truth is, as a Christ follower, we all should bathe our dreams and goals in the will of God. If Jesus himself prayed “not my will but your will Lord…” who am I not not to pray that same prayer? In reality, If Jesus it not Lord of All areas of my life them He is not Lord at all. He should be The Lord of all of our ins and outs, big and small. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”

There are no area of my life that the Lord shouldn’t be included in if I want to live a purpose driven and reckless life. He should be included in my dreams, passions, hope and aspirations. I’ve made a decision to never leave Him out of my plans. Ever since I started doing so, my prospective has changed and I started seeing light and his hands on every situation.

NOTE TO SELF – Planning is never wrong but to avoid living reckless life, never make any plans big or small without talking to God. Make God’s will top priority. Summit your plans to The All Knowing. He knows BEST. He know the future, we don’t. Don’t ever make another choice and plan without His approval.

“We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.”(Proverbs 16:9 NLT)

How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. (James 4:14 NLT)
