In honor of April Fool’s Day:
Psalm 14:1, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’…”
If today you are wondering if there really is a God, take a moment to look around you. In the middle of the man-made chaos, you can find punctuated moments of divinely-orchestrated peace. God is faithful to the very end. Maybe it is us who are just not still enough to sit back and take note. We are so completely self-absorbed in all of our “wants.”
Have you lost your first love? Is your Bible gathering dust on the nightstand? Have you become so busy that you forget to pray and spend time absorbing the Word of God, preparing yourself for the battle of the day? Have you forgotten what it’s like to reach out to others and shine the light and love of Jesus Christ on someone who is desperately in need of encouragement?
I get it. We are all busy. We all have things… But stop today and take a deep breath. The first quarter of 2014 is already over. Can you believe it? OVER! Time is flying by.
Today, I challenge you to stop looking at the hardships in your own life and reach out to someone next to you who is in need….whether it be spiritual, emotional or physical. Make a difference in someone’s life and let them know how much God loves them. You will never know the true impact of your words or deeds. But God can use them to make a Kingdom difference in someone’s life if you are willing to take just a moment to care.
