Unfortunately, many Christians fall away from this first love. When a believer does not depend on God to meet his daily needs, his love for God grows cold. Later defaulted their interest in God and starts to look for love in the wrong places with the wrong person.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13 NIV)
Jesus addressed this issue when He spoke to the church of Ephesus. Jesus said: “I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works . . .” (Revelation 2:4–5).
If you find yourself in this position, ask God to have mercy on you and to rekindle your love for Him by spending time with Him, study his word, worship , pray , serve, give and fast.
A relationship with God is really the Best relationship to have.
He is our first love : “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)
Looking for love this valentines day? Don’t look in the wrong places. Look to God because He will never leave you or forsake you. He will never disappoint you. He first loves you and He is all you need.
Do you know Love? God is love.
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8 NIV)”
LOVE comes from within us! It’s not about who or what you receive on Valentines Day, but it’s how you feel about yourself.
“…God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:8, 9, 12 NIV).
Love never lives you..love pumps your heart seconds after seconds. Live wakes you up every single morning to show you something new. Love us waiting on you. The moment you value yourself is the moment others will value you too. Don’t make a fool out of yourself looking for temporary love, know your worth. Don’t mix lust with love. Learn to forgive yourself and leave the past in the past. Don’t look back. Fix your eyes on Jesus and the rest will follow. No man can love you more than Jesus. Grab a hole of your first love Jesus Christ.
Lastly, If valentines day matters to you, no matter what, create it and make it special by taking some time out to rekindle Your “First Love” with the Lord your Christ.
“Falling in love with Jesus is the best thing I’ve ever done…..” That’s why I don’t celebrate LOVE once a year. I choose to celebrate LOVE everyday because I am loved everyday by my First Love.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8 NIV)
